After graduation, he began his career by providing technical consultancy in design offices and construction sites. He served as technical consultant for a 50-unit housing cooperative in the Şemikler district of İzmir.
After joining the İZSU General Directorate, he served as a control engineer on major infrastructure works including the Bornova Industrial Wastewater Collector, the 2400 mm diameter steel pressure pipeline between Çiğli Wastewater Treatment Plant and Çiğli Pump Station, the N4200 main interceptor canal, and the Karşıyaka and Çiğli Wastewater Pump Stations.
He specialized in the rehabilitation of the Bornova Homeros Valley, Poligon, and AOSB creeks, including the construction of check dams. From 2003 onward, he was authorized to act as controller for drinking water network projects, strengthening his expertise in water management.
As Facilities Construction Branch Manager, he completed the Urla İYTE, Seferihisar, and Bayındır wastewater treatment plant projects. During the 2008 drought and water crisis in İzmir, he contributed to bringing healthy water back to the city by completing the Çullu, Menemen, and Halkapınar Arsenic Treatment Plants in record time.
Within the Water Facilities Department, he managed operational activities and led personnel- and energy-saving practices during the in-house installation of 21 km of drinking water line.
During nine uninterrupted years as Branch Manager, he helped deliver one of the highest performance levels in the institution's history, including 720,776 meters of annual drinking water line construction in 2017, contributing to the reduction of water losses and leakage.
Within the Machinery Supply and Facilities Department, he continues to lead pre-tender preparation, cost estimation, contract management, and field supervision while supporting technical review and expropriation processes for institution-owned facilities.
